Dear Partners in Ministry,
“Praise
God from whom all blessings flow.” This first phrase of
the Doxology broadcasts our heart cry to you. So many blessings
abound that the size of this report prevents me from giving the list. I
will say that it is a tremendous blessing of God to be on deputation,
seeing His hand meet our needs and providing partnerships for our future
ministry in Uganda. The promise of Proverbs 3:5-6 manifests itself
each day as we trust in Him with all our being.
Monthly Support Update:
We are now at 73% of our needed support.
Baby Update
For those of you who were praying for our ultrasound to be accurate and obvious, thank you!! The technician started the ultrasound by saying, “It usually takes several minutes and may even be toward the end when the sex will be revealed.” Within the first thirty seconds the screen revealed a baby girl. A lump formed in my throat as images of scaring away male suitors and eventually paying for college and an extravagant wedding danced in my mind. Eliana Grace has already stolen my heart.
Building Update:
Thank you for prayers regarding the final $2200 needed to finish the framework on our first school building. The Lord has once again met our financial need. The end of this month should see the completion of our first secondary school building as a mission team from Alabama flies to Uganda to install the roof and electrical wiring. We thank Trinity Baptist Church from Oxford, Alabama for giving financial backing and personal time to the school building.
Ministry Update:
It is so hard to pick and choose what to report when I could fill two full pages with blessings, but I will mention some highlights. (1) I had the privilege of sitting with Pastor Graham of Olathe View Baptist Church at a table with a lady and her saved husband while Pastor shared the gospel. With a smile of understanding, Liz came to know Christ as her Savior. I could not help but beam with joy in seeing another precious soul enter the family of God. (2) Getting an opportunity to exert ourselves physically proves good for the old body. In Canada we helped a couple move into a house and in Nitro, West Virginia I helped move free furniture from an old public elementary school which had been donated to a Christian school just opening. It is always a joy to meet needs, physically as well as spiritually.
In His Service,
